Youth Education
JSWCD supports youth education by providing classroom visits to local teachers, supporting partners' youth education efforts, coordinating the Southern Oregon Regional Envirothon, providing financial support to local youth education programs, and hosting internships. Our staff provide education in our areas of expertise and focus.
From training high school students to monitor water quality, to putting boots on elementary kids to slosh around in streams, we offer students hands-on experiences to discover their place within the amazing natural world around them. We also strive to support educators in providing opportunities for problem-solving and real-world examination of the environment and humans' relationship with it.
