Blake Elliott, Director Zone 2

A man with a beard is sitting indoors, wearing a light blue shirt. There are plants and a window with blinds in the background.

Blake has lived in the valley since 2021, having moved from a hobby ranch in Douglas County. He and his family relocated to Oregon from Kansas in 2014 in search of a state with natural beauty and a comfortable climate - found it!

With 33 years of experience, Blake is a Certified Real Property Appraiser and has been licensed in four states: South Carolina, Missouri, Kansas, and now Oregon. He values the rural lifestyle and deeply appreciates the natural resources this beautiful valley offers. He is a graduate of Cowley College and served in the United States Air Force as a firefighter.

Blake’s goals include learning the extensive network of environmental agencies across Oregon’s state and local governments and becoming familiar with ongoing projects in the community. He is committed to helping constituents better understand the valuable work that Jackson Soil and Water Conservation District is doing, believing that an informed public is essential to effective government.
