Pam Hillers, Associate Director
Pam was raised in Kansas City, KS, and in 2006 after moving around the country with her husband Ron, they settled on 20 acres of property east of Ashland, OR. Pam worked for 39 years with different federal agencies during her career before retiring in 2014 from her position as Human Resource Manager for the Department of Veterans Affairs in White City, OR.
Pam’s first interest in learning about soils and the need for good land stewardship was in her first federal position as a cartographic aide with the Soil Conservation Service (now named the Natural Resources Conservation Service) in Salina, Kansas, where she helped compile soils map for the different counties in Kansas.
Pam has taken classes offered at the Oregon State University Extension Office through the Land Steward and Master Gardener Programs. She is still active in both programs and volunteers with the Master Gardener Association through serving on their board and helping with events.
Pam says it is a pleasure to service as an Associate Director, getting to know more about the programs offered by the District and how the specialties of the staff contribute to supporting land owners at all levels in Jackson County.
