Don was first elected to the Board of Directors in 2012. He and his family enjoy working with their land in Butte Falls and caring for their forests and meadows.

Using sound planning strategies they have worked to implement stand management practices to improve health, vigor, and growth, of stands throughout their property. The success of these practices, has allowed them to improve wildlife diversity, reduce wildfire danger and improve aquatic and riparian ecosystems.

Creating a management plan has helped them to balance ecologic, economic, and aesthetic values, something he hopes to share with the citizens of Jackson County.
